To make this New Year more special and cheerful, Honda came with a facelift version of its most beloved Sedan City. While the existing City was running only with petrol unit, this renovated model also containing a diesel engine which has become the main USP of this car. And now Ford also has updated its trendy sedan Fiesta and brings a New 2014 version of it with only diesel unit. Hence, here we are doing brief specs comparison of these two classy sedans of India with each other. Let’s see what are the similarities and dissimilarities between these two.
Price:
While Ford’s royal sedan having only diesel variant containing the price tag of 7.69-9.29 lakhs, the diesel trims Honda’s classy sedan cost between 8.37-10.99 lakhs. As seems, Ford has priced it car Fiesta smartly and more affordably better.
Engine details:
After their respective updations, the City carries petrol and diesel both fuel units while the Fiesta is available with only diesel and hence here we are comparing only diesel versions of both.

The Fiesta is well armed with 1.5 liter TDCi Diesel breathes through 89.7bhp and 204Nm of max power and torque respectively, the all new City diesel is adorned by 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel which develops 99bhp and 200Nm.
As per the fuel economy is concerned, Honda has already announced that new City diesel is the most fuel efficient car of India with the impressive mileage of 25.1-26.0 km/l.
But, on the contrary, Ford has also offered a good figure of mileage in its Fiesta 2014 and giving an almost equal fight. The claimed mileage of Fiesta diesel is 25.01 km/l (diesel).

Being a sedan model, both five seater cars carry almost same dimensions with slightly ups and downs. The Fiesta’s dimension is 4320mm x 1764mm x 1486mm with wheelbase of 2489mm while City’s is 4440mm x 1695mm x 1495mm with an improved and comparatively better wheelbase of 2600mm.
Interior & Exterior:
This is the only major section where other same segments cars could take the cake away from Honda.
