No one makes it better than GM when it comes to those savvy SUV’s. The Chevy Cars are known for their design and make. Chevy is soon to launch its Trailblazer, A SUV in the Indian market. The launch is expected to hit the Indian market sometime in the next year .Chevy encouraged by the positive response it has been getting from the Indian market is trying to make most it.
Engine
The Chevy trailblazer is placed under the premium category SUV. Coming from the GM and placed under the premium category the car is expected to have a power packed engine. In India the car is expected to be launched in two diesel variants of 2.5 & 2.8 Duramax Diesel engine types. The 2.5 Diesel variant has 16 valves and 4 cylinders and powers a torque of 350-470nm @2000rpm. The Direct injection system is fuel efficient and with the turbocharger and the intercooling system the car’s engine is ideal for long drives with minimum burst. Transmission is powered by a 5- speed Gear system. The Trailblazer’s has the engine to be a heavy duty transporter and at the same time provide smooth handling with easy gear shifts.
Exteriors
The Chevy Trailblazer which was showcased in the Dubai Auto expo 2011 looked like more of a cross over. It is expected that this variant with modifications will be launched in the Indian market. The car nevertheless looks huge and will put the other compact SUVs to shame. The car from the front end resembles the Chevy Colorado, Yes! The Chevy Truck. The car has a majestic look and displays GM’s prowess of making SUVs. The hood has s strong power dome design, along with the raised cowl giving it a manly intimidating look. Chevy signature lamps on the front and rear ends add poise to the car. The dual port grille and the 3-D grille mesh design add to the car’s prominence. The 20” wheels are huge with dual finish wrapped in Cooper Zeon LTZ tires.
Interior
Chevy Trailblazer comes with a very bold and spacious design. The car has a massive trunk. The 2nd and 3rd row has completely foldable seats. The light coloured leather seating and the mat dark wood trim renders a premium feel to the trailblazer. The centre stack combines with the additional dash features and perfectly integrates the HVAC system with the on-board entertainment system.
Safety Features
The car combines all the standard safety features like ABS, EBD, TCS, HBA and HBFA. In addition to that the car employs HDC (HILL DESCENT CONTROL) and the HSA (Hill start assist) for better support and safety when driven through tough terrains and hills.
Pricing
The exact price of the car for the Indian market is not yet confirmed. But it is rumoured to be between 16 -21 L making it an expensive customer.
