It seems like this Auto Expo 2014 is going to be a big hit than ever. The reason is the participation of almost every car makers in this most awaited show. Hyundai has also prepared to create its warm presence in this Expo Mart by launching the two models, reportedly. These models are new Grand i10 sedan and the all new Santa Fe in SUV category.
1. Hyundai Grand i10 (sedan)
Hyundai has already launched the hatchback category of Grand i10 which has achieved a huge welcome by the Indian customers. And now its sedan version is all set the hit the floor.
Being a sedan model, it is obvious that it will be expensive than its hatchback Grand i10. This trendy sedan is expected to come with the price range between 7-9 lakhs.
As reported till now, this sedan is going to share the mechanical powers of its hatchback. The same 1197cc, 1.2 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine and 1120cc, 1.1 liter 4-cylinder diesel engine are going to be armed in this car.
While the petrol unit is expected to churn out the max power of 81bhp and peak torque of 114Nm, its diesel unit develops 70bhp and 160Nm of max output. Though, it is expected that the max power produced by the engine could be improved by the company after equipping in it sedan Grand i10. Like the hatchback, its petrol engine is also expected to mate with 4-speed automatic transmission gearbox as an option along with the manual-one.

2. Hyundai all new Santa Fe (SUV)
As there are many SUVs in the Indian car market which are receiving success on a large scale and undoubtedly Hyundai’s this SUV Santa Fe has been lost somewhere among them. Hence, to motivate its sale, company is bringing its facelift model probably with reduced price and by doing some renovations.
The cost of this SUV has been revealed which is 26-30 lakhs while the ongoing Santa Fe’s price starts from 23.4 lakhs.
Any change in its heart (engine) has not been reported yet. It is expecting to be continued with the same 2199cc, 2.2 liter 4-cylinder diesel developing 194.3bhp and 421Nm as max output and mated with 6-speed manual transmission andautomatic as well as an option.
Though, no statements regarding the equipment of petrol unit have come from the company’s side but still it is expectable. If rumors are to be believed then this all new Santa Fe is expected to get four-wheel drive system as standard, also it is going to be built on an all-new platform.
