The all new Honda Amaze has created much hype in Indian market, with already 22,000 bookings and long waiting period, its giving tough competition to the Maruti Swift DZire already. With the new launch, Honda hopes to improve its brand image in India, in comparison to the well established and trusted brand image of Maruti .

Both the cars are available with petrol and diesel engines but the engine capacities differ. While the best Amaze model with 16V i-DTEC diesel engine boasts of 1.5l capacity and 98.6bhp power whereas the best of Dzire 16V DDiS Diesel lags behind by 0.2 l capacity and 24.6 bhp power. Also considering the torque, Amaze has an edge over Dzire as it can provide upto 200Nm@1750rpm torque which allows better acceleration, though Dzire is much smoother at turns & curves. When it comes to interior of the car, Amaze gives better room both at the front and the rear giving ample boot space and head space. Well, Dzire comes with its own advantage when it comes to the fuel tank capacity, it can hold max upto 42 litres whereas Amaze has 35,falls short by 7 litres. Though both the cars give a comfortable riding experience with power steering and trustworthy brakes, Dzire has a slight advantage because of the headrest and other accessories in form of arm rest to hold cups and bottles.
Both the car include the standard safety features of central locking, anti lock braking & child locking system. The most important feature, performance, is better incase of Amaze as it offers greater mileage.

So the little inhibition that you must have had about buying a Honda car must have vanished by now. There is not much difference in the prices, though Amaze is just few thousand bucks more, but those extra bucks would give better experience of a luxury car I am sure.
