Seems like Honda has settled its mind to celebrate 2014 by smacking the market floor with its facelifts as well as new models. While Indian car lovers already celebrating the news about the launch of facelift version of India’s as well as Honda’s most popular Sedan City, the news about new launch of Honda’s new MPV namely Freed has been spread in the market.
Company is not only planning to introduce its new MPV Freed in the market, but two more Honda’s model Jazz and Mobilio are in the queue to get introduction on same Indian Auto Expo 2014. Must say, this Auto Mart is going to be a big success this year like as always.
Freed, a MPV by Honda which has tasted the global success and running well worldwide. Indian Auto Expo’s officially twitter page recently post this big news that the international performer Honda Freed will be unveiled in India too at 2014 Auto Expo.
If rumors are to be believed then this Freed MPV is expected to be powered by a de-tuned 2.2 liter diesel and the well known 1.5 liter iVTEC petrol unit. Though, these specs are tentative and could be changed by the launch but it is definitely expected to be a powerful car in terms of performance etc to justify the badge of Honda.
The main and only competitor of this royal MPV in India would be Toyota Innova. It is also being said that the strategy behind this new launch is that Indian car market has just one model in same segment which is a powerful Innova and hence the chances of Freed’s success increase here. Though, how this MPV would be welcomed by Indian customers could only be revealed after the launch.
