For all the Mercedes lovers who wanted to own the Vito Van which(1996 to 2003 version) Force Motors brings to you their “Viano” which is modeled to twin Vito Van. Viano was set to be launched in early 2014 but due to technical reasons there is no confirmation on date and timining.
But all we would say is “Get ready for another new MPV.”
Brand
For all those of you who don’t know about Force Motors, here is a brief about the company. Force motors is none other than the famous Bajaj tempo brand. Bajaj tempo is a very popular brand in the transportation automobiles in India. And with Viano they are trying to bang the passenger car industry as well. Its not their debut as they are producing passengers cars like Gurkha and one. Its also noteworthy that this is their second attempt at Viano.
Price
This MPV is rumored to be in the price range of Rs. 9.0 lakh to 11.0 lakh which again is a little costly but is an implicit message that this car is a huge competition Innova and Xylo.
Interior and Exterior
As of now there is no spoiler available on the correct dimensions of the car but due to its hyped Vito Van look its safe to say that we will be welcoming if a new avatar of Vita Van but is it going to be a blockbuster or just a bust remains a mystery. Now seating wise some people state that it would be an 8 seater in a 2:3:3 ratio. and quite spacious with ample to dashboards and slots. It is also hyped to give the buyer a business class fell with its leather seats and upholstery. Basics goodies such as power steering, mobile charger unit, remote central locking systemmusic player with USB/AUX, power windows A.C, power windows and FM radio and 12V power socket. The company is still in the reach area when it comes to interiors but as far as the spoiler pictures are to be believed the car seems to be quite spacious. However an auto portal has leaked the pictures of Viano under the making in which the car boasts high styled headlamps and tail lamps, which further enumerates that Force Viano is not going to be an identical twin. Also keeping in mind the present trend, MPV might have chrome radiator grille, external rear view mirrors, body colored bumper, body colored door and a new style headlight cluster at its front, handles and sliding doors. Force Viano as a multipurpose vehicle of Force Motors is expected to boast the standard braking aspects like any other four wheeler. Its front wheels are suppose to carry disc brakes, while the rear wheels get standard drum brakes.
Engine
There is no hard proof knowledge about the engine of the car but considering that its an MPV from Force experts assert some hypothesis. Its suspected of being a 2.2-litre FMTECH engine, considering Force One SUV model. Also it may boast a 4-cylinder, 16 valve, 2149cc based diesel, releasing a 140bhp and throwing off a 320Nm of torque that can produce a mileage of 13 Kmpl in city and 17 Kmpl on highways.
Again referencing One this engine will have power controlled by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Safety Aspect and On the road experience
The car boasts tags such as MPV and Mercedes, hence driving dynamics and safety aspects will be in high scrutiny. Sadly only the top version of Viano gets the anti lock braking system along with electronic brake force distribution system as standard. Viano is expected to come with the features like tinted glass, central locking, key less entry, power door locks, seat belts, day-night rear view mirror collapsible steering system, and several other advanced features.
