Though, no statement regarding the price has been released yet from the company but we expect it to carry the price tags between 10-14 lakhs approx.
The Sx4 S-Cross is expected to come with both petrol and diesel mills. The 1.6 liter turbocharged likely to equip under diesel hood developing the max output of 120bhp and peak torque of 320Nm while on the other hand, the petrol unit might also be a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder churning out 120bhp and 156Nm of max power and torque respectively.
Further, while the petrol engine might gear-up with a 5-speed manual as well as a CVT gearbox option, the diesel unit will mate only to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Interior & Exterior:
As per the model revealed at Auto Expo, it seems like stretched version of Maruti’s ongoing sedan SX4. Therefore, the customers will find the car’s outside glimpse very much familiar. While at inside the cabin, a feel of Maruti’s ongoing hatch Swift comes to mind. Overall, the SUV is looking attractive and gets a sharp profile and premium interior. Though, the exact details of car’s interior and exterior will only be revealed by the launch. So, till then, keep your fingers crossed.
Main Rivals in India:
Mahindra XUV500 etc
Just a few days ago, we told you about the company’s plan to discontinue the ongoing sedan SX4 and bring a new sedan Ciaz to fill that place. Now this SX4 based crossover model reflecting the company’s idea that it doesn’t want to stop and disappoint its customers and that there are plans to bring new models in every segment by the company in the next 2 years. Well, as always, Maruti manages to justify the tag given to it by the Indian Automobile Industry that it is largest car manufacturer of country.
