Tata Motors had become famous suddenly when the company announced the launch of world’s cheapest car around five years ago. This car was Tata Nano which has made its debut in India with the price range starting from around 1 lakh and came as a great opportunity to those middle class people who wish to own a car.
Now, the company brings a new and twisted variant of this small car with some additions and renovations. Let’s see what experts are saying about this new Tata Nano Twist XT variant.
Price:
This Twist XT is placed as the top-end variant of Nano, means above the earlier top-end LX variant. Hence, its price is also around 9,000 more than the LX and thus, the Twist XT has price tag of 2.32 lakhs.
Engine:
As reported earlier, this new XT variant runs with same engine i.e. 624cc, 0.6 liter petrol engine which is mated to a manual transmission and develops the max power of 37.5bhp and peak torque of 51Nm. When we compare this output with other cars then definitely it does not seem much impressive but when we concentrate on its engine power and weight then definitely it looks appropriate and good.
As per its ARAI certified mileage is concerned, it offers so much impressive figure which is 25 km/l, isn’t it stunning with that much of produced power? Definitely yes, and in this way this Nano XT variant becomes one of the most fuel efficient model too like other variants of Nano.
Performance & Road handling:
When we talk about the performance and road handling of this new variant, we have something different and new to tell you coz the major addition has been done here. The all new Tata Nano Twist XT gets a power-assisted steering wheel which is designed by the German automotive component manufacturer, ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
When we give a look on the users of Nano’s earlier variants, the major and only drawback seemed its steering wheel which was so heavy and creates problem in driving and handling. But with this new launch, finally company has solved this problem.
This new power steering wheel has been equipped to reduce the load from its engine and to provide better handling even on city roads. With the 4 meters of max turning radius and this new power steering wheel, it will be easier for the users to turn and drive under different circumstances. Overall, this Nano Twist XT provides a decent ride and does justice with its price tag.
Interior:
It’s obvious if a new variant is being launched then definitely few changes are must to be done in its interior features as per the customers demand. Same applies here; this new Twist XT gets a new instrument cluster with the trip meter, fuel availability indication etc on it. Not only this, by taking around Rs. 13,000 more, company is also providing new audio system along with Bluetooth compatibility, four speakers, glove box covers and keyless entry etc which are not present in Nano’s other ongoing variants. Also, the paddles have come closer as per the comfort of the driver. Its car boot seems small but still could match easily with the car size and also when people use this car for daily use then 80 liters of boot space would be enough for sure.
Exterior:
Nano’s outside glimpse is not so much stylish and trendy but it looks cool overall. Now with this twisted Nano Twist, attractive Purple color has been added in the color option along with Dynamic Blue. A new badge of ‘Nano Twist’ is the other remarkable change which makes this Twist XT variant different from its remaining variants.
Verdict:
For the regular n daily use and also for the people who wish to own a car in minimum budget, this Nano is a great option for them. While users of Nano were facing little difficulty in its handling earlier, company has resolved this query with this new launch and now a fresh version of this mini car is in front of you with comparatively better handling as well as drivability even on city roads.
