After making its debut at 2017 Geneva Motor show, latest edition of Lamborghini family Huracan Performante has been launched in India at Rs. 3.97 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). It is brand’s third launch in the Indian market this year after Huracan Spyder RWD and Aventador S. The Performante is Lamborghini’s fastest car till date as it smashed Nubugring’s production car lap record. The Supercar recorded a complete lap run of 6 minutes 52.01 seconds beating Porsche 918 Spyder’s record by 5 seconds.
Thanks to new lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium, the Performante is 40 kg lighter than the standard model. The body shell is built of hybrid aluminium, carbon fibre and forge composite which is being used in several components such as bonnet, aerodynamic diffuser, rear bumper and front-rear spoiler.
It is powered by the most powerful version of 5.2 litre V10 which develops 640bhp of power and 600Nm of torque nearly 30bhp and 40Nm more than the standard model. Powering all four wheels is a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with Haldex permanent four wheel drive system. The supercar accelerates 0-100 km/hr in just 2.9 seconds (0.3 sec quicker than AWD Huracan) while whacking an electronically limited speed of 325 km/hr. It sits on 20 inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corse tyres.
The overall design is similar to the AWD Huracan such as razor blade stance, signature LED headlights, wide air intakes. The side is highlighted by sharp stance, sleek air intakes in matte black and Italian tricolor of the car. At rear, it gets new dual exhaust pipe, new rear grille and high mounted spoiler.
The aerodynamic theme continues inside as well with ALA graphic dashboard featuring active zero system, digital cockpit with Apple car play support and Lamborghini’s telemetry system which enables driver to record, replay and analysis his own performance. In addition, Ad personam program enables you to personalize Performante according to your own taste.
