Jaguar has expanded its F-Type line-up in India and has added four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine to the range. It spans from the entry-level four-cylinder model to Jaguar’s 322 km/h, all-weather supercar – the F-TYPE SVR. Check out more details.

Exterior and Interior

A fine-tuned active exhaust comes as standard on entry-level F-Type models. Not only this, the R-Dynamic variants get a switchable active exhaust for a richer driving experience. The car gets features like panoramic sunroof on the coupe, LED headlights and configurable ambient lighting. Additionally you get a 10-inch touchscreen, 380-watt 8-speaker, 2-subwoofer system with also optional 10-speakers and 2-subwoofer Meridian sound system.

Engine Details

The entry-level F-Type gets 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that is from JLR’s Ingenium series of modular engines and is tuned to produce 300hp and 400Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the wheels. The new car is said to be 52kg lighter than the outgoing motor that allows the vehicle to go from 0 to 100kph time in just 5.7seconds and to take a top speed of 322kmph. Its bigger 5.0-litre supercharged SVR engine produces 575PS of peak power and 700Nm of peak torque.
