Hyundai has officially unveiled Grand i10 facelift at Paris motor show last year which is reportedly launching in February 2017. The car has already spotted on Indian roads multiple times and sports cosmetic changes both inside and outside along with new features. The current generation was launched in 2013 and since then has been earning good numbers. Hyundai has sold more than 1 lakh units from April to December 2016 and new update will give it fair share of attention.
The facelift version dons bigger hexagonal grille with boomerang shaped fog lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. The side profile continues to remain same with chrome plated door handles, 14 inch alloy wheels with new design and Blackened C pillar. At rear, the car features redesigned bumpers and revised tail lights.
On the inside, the dashboard layout will remain same though it will get new color theme, new upholstery, updated MID unit, new upholstery, a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, 1 GB in-built memory storage with music system for multimedia needs, new light illumination and automatic climate control. We might also see Hyundai offering dual airbags and ABS as part of standard equipment. Additional features include two toned interiors, cooled glove box, smart key, rear parking camera with rear sensors, start/stop button.
The 2017 Grand i10 will continue to equip with the same 1.2l Kappa petrol that makes 81bhp power and 114Nm of torque while 1.1l U@ CRDi diesel engine is good for 70bhp power and 160Nm of torque. Transmission options include 5-speed manual as standard while petrol also feature 4-speed automatic gearbox. We expect Hyundai to offer grand i10 facelift between Rs. 5-7 lakh (ex-showroom).
