To add some spice to the slow selling hatchback, Fiat India has finally launched the Punto Sportivo limited edition in India priced at Rs. 7.10 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The Sportivo limited edition is based on the entry level Active variant of the Punto Evo diesel and comes with cosmetic enrichments and added features.
In terms of cosmetic changes, the Sportivo edition sports two-tone color with red and contrasting white roof and Sportivo decals on the sides. There is a checkered decal on the bonnet to add appeal to the car and chrome garnish on ORVMs that are finished in black and new 15-inch alloy wheels. At rear you get a rear spoiler and Reverse parking sensors.
On the inside, the Sportivo gets seat covers in white shade with contrast red stitching, special floor mats and door sills with Fiat embedded on it. The car also gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen Infotainment system with GPS navigation and bluetooth telephony.
Things remain unaltered under the hood with Fiat Punto Sportivo getting the same 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine that is tuned to deliver75bhp of power@4000rpm and 197 Nm of torque@1750rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Recently, Fiat launched the Abarth version of Punto in India with powerful 1.4l T-Jet petrol engine and priced at Rs. 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
