Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Facelift

Toyota Kirloskar motors have launched the facelift version of Land Cruiser 200 in the country at the jaw dropping price of Rs. 1, 29, 01,326 Crores (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated model comes with a number of cosmetic and interior upgrades along with enhanced safety equipments. The rugged SUV now looks more contemporary one thanks to the new features. The Land Cruiser 200 may not be the choice of many due to premium price range, but its fan following in India will certainly attract few buyers in the country.

Price:

The prices of new Land Cruiser 200 have gone up by Rs 10 lakhs, from Rs. 1.19 crore for the outgoing model to Rs. 1.29 Crores (ex-showroom Delhi).

Engine details:

Powering the beast SUV is same 4.5 litre V8 diesel engine which is capable of belting out 268bhp of max power and 650Nm of monstrous torque. The SUV boasts a six speed automatic gearbox and a full time four wheel drive system. Thanks to modified ECU and new injectors, new model delivers 7PS more than the previous one.

Space and Dimensions:

Measuring at 4950mm in length, 1980mm in width and 1910mm in height, the Land Cruiser 200 is one of the biggest SUVs around the globe. The massive wheelbase of 2850mm ensures ample amount of space inside. It has a seating capacity for seven persons with 2+3+2 seating configuration and central headrest for the third row.

Exterior and Interior:

Changes on the exterior include a revamped front fascia with a big triple slat grille with chrome accents that meets into the headlights which now incorporates LED Daytime running lights. Tweaked Front bumper now house a wider air intake and chrome inserts on the fog lamp housing.

The bonnet gets new downward creases which add to the masculine appeal of the SUV. Sides remain pretty much unchanged with Glossy B pillars and window sills while the rear profile gets new LED tail lamps with a new chrome strip and the ‘Land Cruiser’ moniker adorned on it.

Inside the cabin, the facelifted LC 200 features a new instrument cluster with 4.2” multi-information display (MID), revised central console with silver satin touch, chrome treatment around AC vents, a 7 inch infotainment screen, multifunction heated steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, 6 DVD 14 speaker JBL audio system, LED illumination entry system. In addition, New Land Cruiser 200 gets two new interior color choices of Brown and Flaxen.

Colors:

Apart from existing eight color shades of Silver metallic, Super white, attitude black, dark red Mica metallic, black, beige mica metallic and while pearl crystal shine. The SUV is available with two new exterior paint schemes- copper brown and dark blue.

Safety:

Besides enhancing luxurious feel on both outside and inside of the new model, Toyota is also offering reliability with long list of safety features. The rugged SUV comes with the famed Crawl control system that automatically controls both engine and brakes and keeps the speed low to let driver concentrate on what is ahead of him. The system also reduces wheel spin and lock to enhance vehicle stability. Toyota’s electronic modulated suspension (TEMS) controls the force of the shock absorbers to ensure comfort ride.

Features like Multi-terrain ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), vehicle stability control, hill start assist, multiple monitor cameras, Ten airbags with supplemental restraint system, brake assist, electronic stability program (ESP), Tyre pressure monitoring system and Limited slip differential (LSD) making it one of the safest vehicle on the Indian shores. Like always, Toyota is offering the LC 200 facelift with a 3 years/1, 00,000 km warranty, whichever is earlier.
