Mahindra is all set to launch their new TUV300 Plus P4 variant for the Indian markets. TUV 300 Plus is essentially the other version of the TUV300 and shares most of the body panels with the standard model, although comes with unique rear styling. Here we have the latest updates on the car as it is soon said to get launched. The expected launch of the SUV is by June 2018.
Engine details
The TUV 300 Plus is powered by a 120 hp 2.2 litre diesel engine that the company calls as a mHawk120. The engine produces 280Nm of torque. Its engine comes mated to a six-speed manual instead of the five-speed unit in the standard TUV300. The car is said to get 215/70R16 tyres with steel wheels and is loaded with a 60-litre fuel tank that weighs 2,410kg. The Mahindra SUV also comes with Mahindra’s fuel-saving Micro Hybrid tech.
Exterior and Interior
Talking of the exterior, the SUV’s dimensions measure 4,400mm long. It is 1,835mm wide and 1,812mm high and comes with a 2,680mm wheelbase which is the same as the sub-four-meter version. Currently only the TUV300 Plus P4 variant is been received, however there are talks of two more variants – namely P6 and P8 – to join in the near future. The SUV gets power steering with tilt, four power windows, central locking, an AC with a heater, internally adjustable wing mirrors and two 12V charging sockets. The higher variant of the vehicle will get a factory music system, AC for the second row, better upholstery for seats and a few more add-ons that we will see later.
Safety
On the safety front the TUV 300 Plus comes with an Engine immobilizer, child locks and side intrusion beams. It will also come with ABS and airbags. The higher variants are also likely to come with captain seats for the second row and forward facing third row seats.
Color
The TUV300 Plus has four shade options, but for now only white will be available.
Expected price
The TUV 300 Plus pricing starts at 9.46 lakh INR (ex-showroom).
