Auto Expo 2014 BMW X5 Next-generation Exteriors Overall

At the recently held 12th Auto Expo, BMW unveiled its third-gen X5 SUV with some renovations and modifications. This royal SUV is being applauded by its Indian lovers since its very first launch in 2006 and it’s the third time it has been updated now; company has done just some minor changes in its interior as well as exterior, though.

Price:

This SUV is expected to hit the market floor in 1-2 months with the base price of around 75 lakhs, expectedly.

Engine details:

This muscular car will be powered by both petrol and diesel fuel units like the earlier one. These engines include a 4.4 liter turbocharged V8 petrol engine developing 444bhp of max power and a 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder common rail diesel engine churning out the max power of 254bhp. Both the engines would be mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

Space & Dimension:

This royal car is 32mm longer, 5 mm wider and 14mm taller than its predecessor that makes it now 4886mm in length, 1938mm in width and 1762mm in height. This slightly more length also provide its users better legroom than before and make this X5 more spacious. It also carries the car boot of 650 liters which can be extended to 1870 liters by folding down its rear seats. Also, this new X5 is 80kg lighter than the previous X5 because of the use of high tensile steel in its manufacturing.

Interior & Exterior:

Though, it just gets some minor modifications at its exterior glimpse but still looking much cooler and refreshed than before. The third-gen X5 is designed with refined bumpers, modified n higher fog lamps, new tail lamps with exhausts etc. This all makes this car sportier than before. Contrary at inside the cabin, few equipments like individual climate control for rear passengers, modified interface etc have been added too with this facelift version to increase its comfort and luxury. Though, exact details will come in limelight only after its launch.
