Aston Martin Rapide S Officially Revealed in India

The British sports car maker has finally revealed its much awaited sports model Aston Martin Rapide S internationally including India. This Rapide S would replace its existing predecessor Rapide. According to company’s statement, the reason behind this new modified launch is the popularity of sports luxury cars in the upper class of India.

Price:

According to its customer’s category, the price tag of this luxury sport car is quite high i.e. 4.4 crore.

Engine details & performance:

The predecessor of this sporty car was equipped with 6.0 liter V12 engine churning out the max power and torque of 470bhp and 600Nm, respectively. While the new and modified Rapide S is powered with the same 6.0 liter V12 engine but with developing much more power and torque which is 558bhp and 620Nm, respectively. Clearly, this new engine carries a lot more strength than previous one.

The high powered sport and luxury model has tendency to accelerate 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds with the top speed of 306 km/h which is undoubtedly making this new car trendier and more technical than its predecessor.

Space & Dimension:

No such changes have been reported in this four door car’s dimensions till now, except its length which is slightly increased, no final report has been revealed by the company, though. Currently, the ongoing car is carrying 5019mm length, 1929mm width, 1360mm height along with the ground clearance of 120mm, boot space of 300 liters and wheelbase of 2989mm.

Interior & Exterior:

Reportedly, it is more luxuriant because of the renovations done in it. The mainly changes include:

  • More sharply designed
  • Leather seats are more neatly stitched
  • Electric consoles on dashboard
  • Carbon exterior/interior pack and matched wood trim are also available as optional features
  • More airbags are attached in this sporty car as safety features
  • Newly manufactured suspension system including options of normal, sports n track mode
  • ABS with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) along with track system are embellished to improve balance quality

Verdict:

The youth and people who love to use sports cars are eagerly waiting for this new launch. Company is also planning to target 10-15 customers by displaying it in all over the country. The target customers of this sportier car are of high-class category, hence it would be interesting to see the Aston Martin could achieve this target in India or not.
