In last August 2017, Hyundai India launched their all-new 2017 Verna which is currently one of the most favoured car for many Indians. The new generation car was launched with a 1.6L petrol and diesel engine also. However, now the company will reintroduce the 1.4L petrol engine option in new Verna. The Verna 1.4L petrol will be available in 2 trim levels- E and EX.
According to sources, 2017 Hyundai Verna 1.4L petrol EX variant is priced at INR 8.60 Lakh and Verna 1.4L E variant has a price tag of INR 7.29 Lakh. This engine produces 99 BHP of maximum power while developing a peak torque of 134 Nm. Hyundai Elite i20 currently runs on the same engine. However, it is expected that Hyundai India will discontinue this engine in i20.
As far as the specifications are concerned the E and EX-variants have some features of 1.6L petrol model, with some changes. The base E variant is equipped with dual airbags and ABS, it has electric mirrors, rear central armrest, steel rims and cooled glove box. The Ex variant has better equipment with 5.0-inch touchscreen system along with 4 speakers, cruise control, rear parking sensors, keyless start, rear AC vents, height adjustable seats, and armrest.
