Recently, few months ago i.e. in May 2014, we told you about the introduction of updated 2014 version of XJ model by British car manufacturer Jaguar. The major news was that it is going to be locally assembled in India from now on and now company has launched it in Coimbatore market with deduct price ranges.

Due to the local assembly, Jaguar XJ has faced a dropped down in its price range of around 24 lakhs in comparison to earlier models which was being imported from abroad as CBU (completely built unit). It surely is a good news for Indian customers and will be beneficial for Jaguar too as in hiking sales price.

The new locally assembled 2014 Jaguar is having two diesel models namely XJ 3.0 Premium Luxury and XJ 3.0 Premium Portfolio which has been priced at 93.74 lakhs and 1.45 crores, respectively. Both prices are of ex-showroom Coimbatore.

As mentioned above, both models are carrying diesel fuel mill only which is a 3.0 liter V6 developing the max power and peak torque of 271bhp and 600Nm respectively. The powerful engine is mated to a powerful 8-speed automatic gearbox providing a fun sporty drive to its customers. The new 2014 XJ will reach 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds with an electronically top speed of 250 km/h.

Apart from the features available in predecessor model of XJ, the 2014 version also gets new ‘airline’ style reclining seats with message function, improved headroom, fold out business tables and LED reading lights etc. Further, the car is also featuring a rear seat entertainment package which carries dual 10.2 inches touch screens at rear and many more.

As far as their rivals are concerned, then it will compete with Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 series and Audi A8 etc in /Indian car market.
