Volvo is all set to bring its fourth offering of the year to India as S60 T6 petrol sedan which is slated to be launched on 3rd July 2015 and will take on the petrol spec variants of Mercedes-Benz C class and BMW-3 series. The diesel counterpart of this upcoming sedan is already on sale in India and the T60 will be brought to India via CBU route.
The Volvo S60 T6 petrol will be powered by a 2.0L four Cyl engine that develops 306bhp power and 400Nm of peak torque. The power will be sent to front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new model is claimed to reach 0-100 km in just 5.9 seconds with the top speed of 230km/hr.
Cosmetically, S60 T6 petrol will remain same as its diesel variant while it will get some additional features such as:-
- 7-inch infotainment system
- Electronic climate control
- Premium leather seats
- Digital MID for driver
- Panoramic Sunroof
- Active bending headlights with daytime running lights
- Six airbags, lane assist
This is fourth launch for Swedish car maker in India after V40 Cross country, XC90 and V40 hatchback and company is also planning to launch a new car which will replace S80 sedan. The Volvo S60 T6 petrol is expected to be priced around Rs. 32-35 lakh (ex-showroom).
