Volkswagen India launches Polo Exquisite and Vento highline Plus Trim

Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus and Volkswagen Polo Exquisite

The German car manufacture, Volkswagen hasn’t going through a good time phase in the international markets due to dieselgate scandal and recall storm. After the facing the heat in the global markets, the company has halted the production of Polo hatchback in India followed by a voluntary recall of the same which has dented its public image a bit. However, that does not stop the car maker to launch new variants as the festive season is nearing.

So joining the bandwagon, Volkswagen has launched the limited special editions of Vento and Polo as Vento plus and Polo Exquisite. Both the editions are strictly limited to cosmetic changes along with additions of few features inside the car.

Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus:

The Vento highline edition gets cosmetic changes like carbon fibre finished electrically adjustable ORVMs, side body mouldings in black color, black roof top, exclusive Vento scuff plates, detachable window blinds, cruise control, Vento Floor mats, central console with carbon fibre finish to make it more appealing to the buyers. There is also a Blaupunkt touchscreen infotainment multimedia system with GPS navigation and SD card slot.

The special limited edition is based on Highline trim, so it is available with both 1.6 litre MPI petrol and 1.5 litre TDI diesel engines. Volkswagen hasn’t revealed the prices of the limited edition but it will retail at a premium of Rs. 29,000 over the standard highline trim. Besides, Volkswagen is also offering exchange benefits of up to Rs. 20,000 and a loyalty bonus of up to Rs. 20,000 on the Vento Highline Plus.

Volkswagen Polo Exquisite:

The Polo limited special edition is also based Highline trim of the Polo hatchback; hence it will be available with 1.2l MPI petrol and 1.5l TDI diesel engines. Polo Exquisite edition is also comes with almost similar changes to Vento Highline trim plus which distinguishes it from the standard variants like a Black roof top, Electrically adjustable outer rear view mirrors with carbon black touch, Cruise control, elegant and funky seat covers, made to size detachable window blinds, ‘Polo’ embedded Scuff plates and central console with carbon black touch.

Just like Vento plus Highline trim, it too gets a multimedia audio system but not a touchscreen unit. The Polo Exquisite edition to be offered for the month of October only at an additional cost of Rs. 13,000 (excluding taxes) the standard Highline MT. VW India is also offering exchange benefits of up to Rs. 10,000 and a loyalty bonus of up to Rs. 10,000 on the Polo Exquisite.

Both the limited editions come with Dual front airbags and ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard.
