The Japanese carmaker enters the highly competitive B-Segment in India. Toyota has showcased the Yaris sedan in India, rival to the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Verna.
Exterior & Interior
The Yaris’ design is inspired by the Corolla Altis and the Camry. It includes angular headlights and massive grille and on either side of the bumper are circular fog lamps. The sides of the Yaris look plain with only a single character line running from the front wheel arches to the rear door. At the rear, the car features wraparound tail lights and a sculpted boot lid.
It has faux leather seats, paddle shifters and a small touchscreen infotainment system along with climate control and a rear A/C vent.
Engine Details
Yaris will be available only with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 107bhp and 140Nm of torque mated to a CVT gearbox which sends power to the front wheels.
Safety
For safety it includes a power driver seat, 7 airbags, roof mounted air vents, TPMS, front parking sensors and all wheel disc brakes.
Color
It will be available in Black Sand Pearl, Blue Eclipse Metallic, Blue Eclipse, Classic Silver Metallic, Ruby Flare Pearl, Black Sand Pearl Roof, Super White and Magnetic Gray Metallic.
Price
The prices of the Yaris are expected to begin from around Rs 10 lakh.
Expected Launch
Toyota Yaris compact sedan is set to launch in mid-2018 and will jump into a highly competitive segment, you will be able to book yaris in starting April this year.
