Japanese automaker has quietly introduced a special limited edition of its executive sedan Corolla Altis in India. Priced at Rs. 14.68 lakh for petrol and 16.01 lakh for diesel (ex-showroom Delhi), the sedan comes with some minor bits and pieces in terms of changes. Toyota Kirloskar motors have been too busy this festive season with the launch of limited edition of Etios Liva and new Land Cruiser 200.
Toyota is known for its simple and reliable offerings and the limited edition is testimony to the same fact. The Limited edition comes with host of changes inside along with minimal cosmetic updates. It comes with a Smartlink infotainment system with voice and gesture control and navigation, wood finish on door trim and gear lever bezel, illuminated scuff plates, leather seats imprinted with letter “Limited” and front door courtesy lamp projecting Toyota’s logo.
The outer profile comes embossed with limited edition badges on the C-pillar and boot lid. The carmaker is offering LE in two exterior colors only- Pearl white and Black. While the changes on the outside have been kept to a minimum, features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs, stylish R16 alloy wheels and elegant LED tail lamps provides striking appearance to the car.
On mechanical front, no changes have been reported as the Corolla Altis LE continues to draw power from the same 1.8L 2ZR-FE 4-cylinder petrol engine that belts out 138bhp of max power@6400rpm and 173Nm of top torque@4000rpm. On the contrary, diesel houses a 1.4-litre D-4D engine that generates 87bhp of power@3800rpm and 205Nm of torque between 1800-2800rpm. Both the engines paired to a six speed manual gearbox.
The vehicle has been bestseller in its segment owing to comfort features, spacious cabin, aggressive design cues and bullet proof reliability of the carmaker.
