Toyota has launched the next generation Innova at Guangzhou Auto Show in Indonesia. The car shall be available for INR 13.7 lakhs in the island nation. Toyota has refurbished the styling of the car which is completely based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) policy. After this the new Innova shall be launched in India in Auto Expo 2016, Noida.
The new Innova is powered by a 2.4 litre diesel engine with 360Nm of torque and churning out 147bhp. A 2 litre petrol motor is also available internationally but the diesel variant is to be released in India only. Both the motors provide a five speed manual transmission or a six speed automatic transmission.
As per reports, the front part of the new car will comprise of projector headlights with integrated LED DRLs and shall come on road with a large front hexagonal grille. The Toyota Innova gets inverted L-shaped tail lamps with LED lights at the rear part.
This new variant will come with a multi functional steering wheel, dual-zone climate control function and a Smart Entry Key. If having a glace of interiors, the Innova is as cozy and comfortable as ever. A new 8 inch touch screen entertainment system is present onboard. The topmost model will be occupied with seven airbags and also with a Hill Start Assist. The new Innova is stuffed with a lot of eye and tech catchy features and thus we may likely to see a decent hike in price as compared to the current running model. Auto experts are expecting a price hike of up to INR 75,000 to INR 1 lakhs. At present, the top model of Innova in India is offered for INR 16.02 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The Innova’s tough competitors in the Indian auto market will most possibly be the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Renault Lodgy.
