The bookings for Tata Hexa is all set to be begin from 1st November while its launch is slated for January next year. Price and competition:
Expect Aria to start at 12.5 lakh and would go up to Rs. 17.75 lakhs (ex-showroom). Hexa will replace ageing Aria, it would take on the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra XUV500.
Engine Details:
The Hexa will be offered in 9 variants out of which 5 will be manual and 4 automatic variants. At its heart will be Safari Storme powered 2.2 liter Varicor 400 turbo diesel engine that produces 156PS power@4000rpm and 400Nm of torque@1700-2700rpm. The gearboxes on board will be a six speed manual and a six speed automatic. The manual version gets four drive modes– comfort, dynamic, rough road and auto while automatic receives Eco and Sport modes. It also sport a special feature called sensing function which ensures that the engine stays admits 3000-4000rpm mark.
Space and Dimensions:
Tata Hexa is 4764mm long, 1895mm wide, 1780mm tall and rides on wheelbase of 2850mm. It offers 200mm of ground clearance. The rugged SUV will be offered in six and seven seater layouts with former gets captain seats in second row while latter gets bench seats. The third row seats come in a 50:50 spilt arrangement and driver seat gets eight way adjustment feature.
Exterior and Interior:
The Hexa is based on Tata mew design philosophy and has putted breath of freshness flanked by loads of black cladding, honeycomb mesh front grille with humanity line, projector headlights with DRL fog lamps on dual tone bumpers and massive air dam. On the sides it gets massive flared wheel arches, 19 inch alloy wheels, silver roof rails and ORVMs with integrated turn blinkers, chrome underlining the windows and sloping roofline makes Hexa more like an MPV. At rear, there is chunky chrome line embedded with Tata’s logo, wraparound taillights, dual exhaust tailpipe to make it sportier.
Needless to say, Hexa will be loaded with brim of features like 10 speaker JBL audio system, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, rain sensing wipers, different color display for instrument cluster gauges, multi function steering wheel, leather upholstery, eight way adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, mood lighting in eight color options, Juke car app, dual zone climate control and much more.
Safety:
The top variants would get six airbags while mid and entry level trims come with dual front airbags. Other safety features on board are ABS with EBD, all disc brakes, ESP, reverse parking camera, cruise control, speed sensing auto door locks, Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hydraulic Brake Assistance (HBA), Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC).
