Renault India is really struggling to build up huge amount of sales in India except Duster SUV and none of their other products able to fetch good sales volume for the French carmaker. In January 2015 Renault India couldn’t manage to sell even a single unit of Pulse Hatchback in the country. So Renault India decided to stall the production of both the cars due to low demand in the country.
Renault Scala and Pulse have failed to get the expected response from the Indian buyers so as a result of it Renault India has not produced even a single unit of Pulse since November 2014 while Scala has not been produced since September 2014.
In October 2014 which was the last month when Renault India produced just 59 units of Pulse and In September 2014 which was the last month when Pulse was produced only 46 units were produced.
From April to January Renault manages to sold just 1777 units of Scala only Indigo and Manza have worst sales figure then Scala While only 1646 units of Pulse were able to find customers only Mahindra Verito has lower sales figure in the segment.
Those who might have know that Scala and Pulse are the re-badge version of Nissan Sunny and Micra though Sunny and Micra also fails to grab desired sales number for the company. Nissan India manages to sell only 391 units of Sunny and 652 units of Micra in January 2015 despite of being updated in 2014.
Renault India’s fate entirely depend upon the shoulders of their best selling product SUV Duster with 3085 units remained the top selling Renault product in India followed by 41 units of Fluence and 3 Units of Koleos.
