Ford has launched Ford Sync with Ford App link infotainment system feature in its sub compact SUV EcoSport in India. Ford Eco Sport has become second vehicle to get this in-car and award winning technology after 2014 Ford Fiesta. However this App link technology will be available on the top (Titanium) variant of EcoSport across all dealerships in India.
Cricket World Cup is on full swing so the company has added an App called ESPN cricinfo so the passengers can get updates from this app on the move. Apart from this app Ford Applink comes loaded with MAPMY India app and a location sharing app called Glympse. These apps will allow customers to get info about the nearest attractions and food destinations.
Ford is working with multiple app partners in India and abroad to add more and more Ford link compatible apps. With the help of this app customers can access their Smartphone apps through just simple voice commands.
Ford Eco Sport was launched in June 2013 and since then Ford India has sold over 1, 00,000 units in Indian domestic market and still it manages to retail over 4000 units a month. Ford India might launch Eco Sport facelift in 2016 without rear mounted spare wheel.
Recently 2015 Ford Figo hatchback was spotted with mobile docking station though Ford might launch Sync technology in both 2015 Ford Figo Hatchback and Ford Figo based compact sedan which can be named as ‘Ford Aspire’.
