The India-spec Renault Captur (Kaptur) has been launched in India. India will become the first market where Captur will be sold in right hand Drive (RHD) configuration. It made its world debut in Russia last year and it is taken design inspiration from European Spec Captur and based Duster’s BO platform meant for countries like India. The Captur has been spotted on test runs multiple times near Renault’ Factory in Chennai. The new Renault Captur gets dynamic lines and seductive curves making it all more demanding in the market and to make buyers go crazy for its looks.
Price:
The price tag which the Renault Captur carries starts at Rs. 9.99 lakhs. The highest price is of the Renault Captur 1.5 Diesel Platine Mono variant that comes priced at Rs. 14.05 lakh. For the 1.5 diesel RXE variant its ex-showroom price is Rs. 11, 39,000 and for the 1.5 diesel RXL variant its costs Rs. 12, 47,000.
Engine and Transmission
The Renault Captur 1.5 diesel RXL variant gets an engine displacement of 1461 cc. It is powered at 108.45 bhp and 240Nm of torque. It gets a 1.5-litre 110PS 16V K9K dCi Diesel Engine and has a turning radius of 5.2 meters. It has 4 cylinders and also gets a 6-speed manual with CRDi as fuel type.
Space and dimension
The Renault Captur has a sitting capacity of 5 people while it measures 4329mm in length, 1813mm in width and 1619mm in height. The SUV car has a wheelbase of 2673mm and the fuel tank capacity of the car is 50 litres.
Comfort
For comfort, the Renault Captur gets all like air conditioner, power steering, rear A/C vents, engine start/stop button, remote fuel lid opener, accessory power outlet, CD player, speakers, fuel warning light, automatic climate control, rear reading lamp, air quality control etc.
Safety
For safety, the car has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. For the 1.5 diesel RXL variant, it has parking sensors and brakes are the same as the 1.5 diesel RXE one. It also has central locking, driver and passenger airbags, rear seatbelts with a warning reminder , power door locks, child safety lock, front and side beams, engine immobilizer and height adjacent front seat belts.
