For SUV-savvy Indian motorists, here is some good news from Hyundai Motors India. The Korean auto mobile giant is set to launch its much awaited and projected Santa Fe in the first quarter of 2014. The groundwork is almost done with several testing of this vehicle already doing rounds on Indian roads, though company is quite tight lipped about it! The reason behind delayed launching is still under wraps but the automobile giant has already brought it on Indian shores. This car will compete with SUV players like Toyota Fortuner and Rexton who are ruling the roost in this segment. Pricing:

Hyundai is quite apprehensive to price this premium SUV in a customer friendly bracket to stay in competition. As such, it is contemplating a price tag of Rs. 26-30 lakhs for Santa Fe.

Brand value:

Hyundai Motors India Limited is the Indian subsidiary of Hyundai Motors, Korea. Since its introduction in Indian market, it has garnered humongous reception from Indian car buyers due to the design, technology, and most importantly the excellent after sales offered by the company.

Engine:

Hyundai Santa Fe will be armored with the same engine that is installed in all Hyundai current generation four wheelers. This 2.2 litre CRDi diesel engine will give a power output of 194.3 BHP @ 3800 rpm with maximum torque of 421 Nm @ 1800-2500 rpm. However, the torque gets banged to 437 Nm @ 1800-2500 rpm in case of 6-speed automatic transmission. This 2199 cc engine is expected to render a fuel economy around 10.8 kmpl.
