Recently, Mahindra has launched the RX6 trim of SsangYong Rexton SUV on May 6th, 2014. This RX6 will be positioned between the RX5 and RX7 variants of the ongoing Rexton. It is designed with a host of features and with manual transmission as well.
Price:
While the RX5 carries price tag of 18.87 lakhs and RX7 of 21.11 lakhs, this new middle variant RX6 is priced at 19.96 lakhs. All prices are of ex-showroom New Delhi.
Engine details:
Reportedly, the RX6 is powered by a 2.7 liter, 5-cylinder diesel engine which is good to produce 162bhp @4000rpm and 340Nm of torque at 1800-3250 rpm. As mentioned above, the engine of new variant RX6 is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. Also, the Rexton RX6 gets Torque on Demand (TOD) 4WD system with a low ratio switch while the RX7 trim comes with a 5-speed auto transmission along with permanent all wheel drive, with higher engine outputs as well.
Color Options:
The new Rexton RX6 is available in four colors which are White, Black, Silver and Purple.
Interior:
It is being said that RX6 is similar to RX5 in mechanical terms but gets mostly features of higher trim RX7. These features include dual toned interiors, leather upholstery, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ORVMs, memory function along with 3 presets for driver, infotainment system with navigation, electric sunroof with tilt/open function and sunblind, speed sensitive power steering, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers etc.
Safety:
On safety grounds, it gets hill descent control, ESP, front n side airbags, anti-slip regulation and active rollover protection etc.
