Nissan’s sedan Sunny was first launched in 2011 in India and running well since then. It is also being said that it is the Nissan’s best car in India especially in performance. Now when competition level has been increased so much in car market, it was needed for this sedan to get some renovations and modifications. Hence, by keeping this in mind, company has designed a facelift model of this royal sedan which has been introduced at 12th Auto Expo 2014. And now, as per the reports, company is planning to launch it in July this year.
There was no news or report regarding the price hike hence it might come with the same price like its predecessor which costs between 6.3-9.8 lakhs.
No mechanical changes have been reported; it is going to carry the same fuel units like its predecessor. It is powered by the 1498cc, HR15 petrol and 1461cc, K9K diesel engines which churns out the max output of 98bhp, 134Nm and 84.8bhp, 200Nm, respectively.
The ARAI certified mileage figures of this facelift model is also expected to be same which is 16.9km/l in petrol variant while 21.6km/l in diesel.

The ongoing sedan is 4425mm in length, 1695mm in width and 1505mm in height with the 2600mm of wheelbase, 490 liters of car boot and 161mm of clear height. No increment or decrement is reported in its measurement.
Interior & Exterior:
As it has been displayed at Auto Expo, the main changes have been occurred in it’s inside the cabin and at outside as well. The facelift Sunny gets modified bumpers at front n rear, bigger headlamps, new front grille, renovated headlights, fog lamps, newly designed alloy wheels etc. These changes and modifications make this car’s glimpse sportier and trendier than the ongoing one.
At inside the cabin, it is designed with a new modified sporty leather wrapped steering wheel which will assist this car in proper and better handling on road. Also, a new central console, black colored dashboard (ongoing has grey + beige color), 2-DIN radio along with a 6.1” touch-screen DVD player etc have been designed in this facelift model.
Its road handling and performance are the major qualities which are appreciated by its users most. The ongoing Nissan Sunny offers a decent handling and comfort. It ensures the safety n security by containing many top-level safety features. We expect the same performance with this new and facelift model too. The ongoing sedan reaches 0-100 km/h in 12.89 seconds.
Being a much new brand in India in comparison to the oldies Maruti Suzuki, Honda and Toyota etc, the Nissan is rapidly increasing its network here by offering new and wonderful models. Hopefully, Nissan’s Sunny is one of them. With this facelift version, this trendy sedan is going to give a tough rival to its competitors here. In India, it would compete with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Toyota Etios etc.
