Nissan has launched 2014 version of Evalia silently in Indian car market. This updated version gets some minor cosmetic changes while mechanical front has remained same as its predecessor. As per the company, new 2014 Evalia has been reached the dealers showrooms and deliveries have commenced as well.
Price:
The price range Nissan Evalia carries is from 8.49 lakhs to 10.67 lakhs including its all variants from base to high-trim.
Engine details:
As mentioned above, there are no mechanical changes in it and the new Evalia will continue with the same 1.5 liter 4-cyl diesel engine like its previous model. This engine develops the max power and peak torque of 85bhp and 200Nm respectively and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. The claimed mileage figure Evalia offers is of 19.3km/l.
Interior & Exterior:
At inside cabin, the faux-wood finish has been given around center console in Evalia’s higher variants. Apart from that, it also gets some new fabrics, better lid for the glove box (after getting customers feedback), better fitting carpets, captain seats in the middle row with armrests, front power windows, keyless entry, colored multifunction display with rear camera, rear wiper and defogger etc. The availability of these features varies as per the variants though.
The exterior profile is now designed with new V-shaped chrome grille with Nissan logo in the middle and new bumpers as well. Its top variant XV is also featuring 15-inches alloy wheels.
Safety:
On the name of safety, all variants except for base XE are equipped with dual front airbags now. Further, demanding safety equipments like brake assist, ABS, EBD, immobilizer are also available in Evalia’s all variants as standard.
CarZoom’s take:
However, launching an updated version is not any new thing in car market but Evalia’s re-launch was necessary as the segment it belongs to are already becoming hot by other launched and yet to launch models. Therefore, to hike the sales of Evalia in car market, Nissan has brought its facelifted version in market; we were expecting more renovation though. In India, it will compete with segment-leader Maruti Ertiga and yet to launch Honda Mobilio etc.
