In the beginning of this ongoing year, the German car manufacturer Volkswagen has announced that it is planning to launch its updated version of Polo hatch in the Indian automobile industry. Later then, company unveiled all-new Polo in recently held 2014 Geneva Motor Show. And now, finally sources are saying that VW is all set to launch this trendy hatch in India by the July of this year. This facelift version is expected to get several changes in it’s under hood, interior and exterior.
Note: The mentioned facts here are yet to be confirmed by the company and hence could be changed by the launch.
Price:
The new price tags are still behind the curtain and will be revealed by the launch only, ongoing Polo comes within price bracket of 4.96-8.11 lakhs though.
Engine details:
Must say that it’s going to be a real facelift coz instead of getting just a cosmetic update, it’s also featuring some major changes in its mechanical powers.
Well, if rumors are to be believed then the both existing diesel mills i.e. 1.2 liter and 1.6 liter TDI of Polo are going to be replaced by an all new diesel unit of 1.5 liter derived from ongoing 1.6 liter of Polo and company’s another model Vento.
This new 1.5 liter diesel engine is expected to develop the max power of 103.5bhp and peak torque of 250Nm while the 1.5 liter replaced by 1.2 liter will be responsible to develop less power of 88.7bhp. Further, a DSG auto gearbox might also present as a new transmission system.
Interior & Exterior:
It’s inside cabin and outside profile is getting a not-so-major tweaks to give the car a refreshed 2014 look. These renovations include redesigned bumpers, refined headlamps with LED, modified steering wheel and new instrument cluster etc.
