Ford’s Sub 4m sedan Aspire has been launched in India with the prices starting from Rs. 4.90 lakh. The sedan is being offered with three engines (two petrol, one diesel) and two transmission options across four trims– Ambiente, Trend, titanium and Titanium+. Bookings of the Aspire have already begun at company’s dealerships in the country for a token amount of Rs. 30,000 and Ford claims that Aspire has generated over 1 lakh enquiries till now. The new compact sedan by Ford gets some first in segment features and takes on Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in the country.
Price:
Ford Figo Aspire falls under sub 4m category so it will get the benefit of government’s scheme. Ford has introduced Aspire for an introductory price of Rs. 4.90 lakh for the base petrol variant while the base diesel comes for Rs. 5.89 lakh and it goes up to 8.24 lakh for the top-spec variant and the Aspire AT trim cost at Rs. 7.79 lakh.

Engine Details:
Under the hood, the Ford Figo Aspire is available with three engines:-
- A 1.2l 4-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine developing 87bhp power@6300rpm and 112Nm of max torque@4000rpm. It comes paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox and returns 18.16KMPl mileage.
- 1.5l 4-cylinder TDCi diesel engine which is good enough for 99bhp@3750rpm and 215Nm of peak torque between 1750-3000rpm, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and delivers 17.12KMPL mileage.
- Last on the list is a 1.5l T-VCT petrol mill, churning out huge 110bhp power@6300rpm and 136Nm of high torque@4250rpm which is available with a 6-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox (Segment first). The AT is rated to deliver 25.83KMPL of ARAI certified mileage.
Space and Dimensions:
The Five seater compact sedan is 3995mm in length, 1695mm in width, 1525mm wide and has a wheelbase of 2491mm to ensure maximum comfort for the occupants. The ground clearance and boot capacity stands at 174mm and 359 liters.
Exterior and Interior:
The Ford Aspire is inspired by next Gen Figo hatchback and international design philosophy. The front of Figo Aspire looks like Aston Martin thanks to its front grille done in shiny chrome accents, sweptback headlamps and muscular bonnet makes it the one of the best looking car in its segment. Moving to the sides, looks neat and well crafted which is well complimented by multi-spoke alloy wheels and shoulder line which ends at taillights.
At the rear, it get a chrome strip across the boot lid (on top variants), sporty tail light cluster along with a beefy bumper with black diffuser which will give its formidable competitors some really tough in this department.
The cabin Figo Aspire is inspired by Eco Sport and finished in dual black beige scheme while good quality materials puts icing on the cake. In terms of equipments it comes loaded with plethora of features like a 4.2 inch infotainment system with MY Ford Dock and voice SYNC with Aux-in, bluetooth, USB, radio and four speakers.
In addition it is available with automatic climate control, steering mounted control, faux leather seat upholstery for the top variants and fabric for lower variants, elegant MFD unit with maintenance warning, door ajar warning, low fuel etc. The higher variants get piano black finish touch across the cabin.
Colors:
The meaty looking compact sedan is available in seven graceful colors- Sparkling Gold, Ruby Red, Oxford White, Tuxedo black, Deep impact blue, Smoke grey and Ingot Silver. The Figo Aspire looks beautiful in Oxford white and ruby red.
Safety:
The compact sedan is setting a benchmark here with many segment first features like six airbags including front and side airbags, perimeter alarm, Hill start assist (only AT), Ford My key, Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), ESP, TCS, emergency assistance, engine immobilizer, front three pointer seat belts and keyless entry. The dual front airbags are available as standard feature across all variants of compact sedan, another segment first feature.

Ford Figo aspire looks the prettiest one in its segment which gets some class leading features and it is also the first model to be rolled out from Ford’s Sanand plant in Gujarat which achieves more than 80% local content. Besides, Figo Aspire Company will be launching next Gen Figo hatchback in upcoming festive season followed by new Ford Endeavour by the end of this year.
