Datsun launches Go NXT limited edition in India at Rs. 4.09 lakh

To bring some zing to the Datsun go, Nissan India has launched a special limited edition of the hatchback called ‘Go NXT’. The limited edition is priced at Rs. 4.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and it is available across company’s 196 outlets. Only 1000 units of this limited edition will be sold between the time period of August and December 2015.

Based on Top T variant, the NXT edition gets some additional features like remote central locking, reverse parking sensors and a rear parcel tray. The rear side of NXT edition gets a chrome exhaust finisher. Additionally, inside the cabin the changes come in the form of glossy piano black finish on the increment console, dashboard and gear lever.

According to Datsun, these accessories are worth Rs. 20,000 INR but it is being offered with a nominal price hike of Rs. 5000. Moreover, the company is organizing three day carnival in outlets across South India and during this carnival the dealerships will remain open till midnight. During this fest the showrooms will boast a sporty feel and customers also stand a chance to exciting prizes ranging from Rs. 3,500-12,000 with every purchase.

Since it is a limited edition, there are no changes made to the powertrain of the hatchback, it continues to draw the power from a 1.2l, three cylinder petrol motor that churns out 67bhp power@5000rpm and 104Nm of max torque@4000rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Arun Malhotra, Managing Director – Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We in India save most of our purchase decisions for the festival season. We prefer to align our dream buys with the auspicious occasions during this period. Continuing this ‘parampara’ and bringing in the newness, we offer the Datsun GO Limited Festive Edition to add to the cheer.”

As we are heading towards the start of festive season in India, we can expect such limited variants and lip smacking offers from various other car manufactures.
