To spot and nurture the young motorsports talents of India in racing skills, Mercedes-Benz is back with its Young Star Driver program 2014. It’s the 2nd season of this talent-hunt show; company has already organized its 1st season in last year 2013. And now, after completing the first successful season, Mercedes-Benz has returned with the next. This talent hunt show provides a platform to our Indian youngsters to show and improve their racing skills on international racetracks by getting guidance from certified trainers.
In this program, candidates across India between the age group of 18-25 years can participate only. These participants will be judged by Mr. Vicky Chandok and his team on the basis of race track training, race acumen, racing aptitude and accomplishments. Among the complete entries of candidates for this talent show, team will choose 24 contestants which later will be divided into 6 slots to select 6 finalists. Candidates having any previous achievement in this motorsport field or having related background will be given priorities.
As per the company, on 7th August 2014, the elimination round will be held while the finale will be done on 8th August 2014 at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
The winner will get entry in PRO-Training at AMG Driving Academy, Germany. Also, she/he will get chance to meet and interact with drivers of Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula one team- Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
Meanwhile, the runners-up will be rewarded by seats in AMG Driving Training BASIC and ADVANCED courses.
