Mercedes-Benz has expanded its AMG Portfolio in India with the launch of AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe at Rs. 74.80 lakh (ex-showroom India). It is based on GLC SUV and third AMG model launched in India this year, eighth in total. The GLC 43 AMG Joins 300 4MATIC and 220d 4MATIC in India. It will be brought to India via CBU route.
Under the hood of the coupe is a 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 Petrol engine that makes 362bhp of max power and 520Nm of torque. Powering to all wheels is a 9G Tronic transmission and 4MATIC AWD system. The GLC 43 4MATIC can make 0-100 km sprint in just 4.5 seconds with an electronically limited speed of 250 km/hr. The coupe gets five drive modes- Eco, comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
The design looks different from the standard model such as revised diamond radiator grille with chrome accents, Projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), sportier front bumper, gloss black louvre with chrome inserts and large air dams. Muscular sides flanked by silver side skirts 5-twin Spoke AMG alloy wheels and AMG body kit.
The rear has built in diffuser, quad pipe exhaust setup and a carbon fibre lip spoiler. On the inside it gets red seat belts, AMG embedded 8-inch infotainment system with Apple car play and Android auto, AMG floor mats and front door sills, black interiors with red treatment, aluminium inserts on dashboard and steering wheel, 13-speaker Burmester audio system to name a few.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLC 43 4MATIC will lock its horns with BWW X5, Audi Q7, Porsche Macan and Volvo XC 90.
