Maruti’s upcoming crossover SX4 cross aka A-cross to be unveiled at 2015 IIFA awards that will take place at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 5th June 2015. Renault did the same thing with Lodgy and showcased it with superstar Hrithik Roshan. The Across will be revealed at 2015 IIFA awards which will see a congregation of bollywood’s biggest superstars.
Last year Tata motors partnered with IIFA awards to promote its compact sedan Zest, now Maruti Suzuki has chosen IIFA to unveil its new car. SX4 S cross aka Across is first vehicle by Maruti in compact crossover segment and will rival against Duster, Terrano and Ford Eco Sport etc.
The Across will be powered by 1.3L DDis diesel engine churning out 91bhp power and 200Nm torque and 1.4L k series petrol engine making 89bhp power and 130Nm of peak torque. While, 1.6L diesel engine is also expected to power this Crossover. Transmission options will include 5and 6-speed manual gearboxes.

- Dual front airbags

The Across will be available in both petrol and diesel engines with 7-8 variants between the price domain of 8-12 lakhs and expect it launch by July 2015. The SUV might be offered with AWD (all wheel drive) option to rival with Renault Duster AWD.
