Maruti Suzuki has silently rolled out new Dzire tour in India which is based on the current gen Swift Dzire compact sedan. The brand has shed off the Swift Dzire tour and now the car is called as ‘Dzire tour’ which could be the indication that next Dzire may follow the same nomenclature. The petrol variant is priced at Rs. 5.24 lakh while diesel Dzire tour cost at Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Aimed at the fleet market, the new Dzire tour is available with same 1.2l K series petrol and 1.3l DDis diesel engine. The petrol is capable of producing a max output of 84bhp and 114Nm of torque and 114Nm of torque. The diesel generates 74bhp power and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines are linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The exteriors have been revamped and stripped down like there’s no chrome treatment; front bumper is redesigned with the basic black plastic grille. Other features include black ORVMs, steel coloured wheels, sweptback headlamps, plastic door handles, body coloured A-pillars and standard tail lights.
The interiors are carried forward from the regular model with minimum feature list such dual tone dashboard with wood garnish on door pads, beige fabric upholstery, large Multi-Information Display (MID) panel with trip metres, manual Ac and power window controls. The new Dzire tour will face stiff competition from newly launch Hyundai Xcent Prime and Honda Amaze.
Earlier reports suggested that Dzire tour will be discontinued and it mark the end of tour tag. However, this launch comes as a surprise.
