Jeep has launched a petrol version of Grand Cherokee in India with an introductory price of Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Cherokee petrol summit is all together a different model should not be confused with the performance oriented SRT version. Besides, Jeep India has also given several upgrades and revised the prices of all its models post GST.
Under the hood is a 3.6L Pentastar petrol engine that belts out max power of 286bhp and peak torque of 347 Nm, linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The petrol model is available in true blue, Ivory pearl, light brown stone, bright white, Velvet red, luxury brown, diamond black crystal and granite crystal colors.
As for the design, all models now get mild updates in the form of restyled front bumper, smaller grille. The SRT version gets additional air inducts, unique front fascia, 18 inch alloy wheels for grand Cherokee, 20 inch aluminum finished alloy wheels for Cherokee summit and 20 inch matte black alloy wheels for SRT. LED fog lamps are now part of Grand Cherokee range.
The electro-hydraulic power steering has been replaced by Electric Power Steering (EPS) and comes with three select modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport. Jeep’s famed Parksense system now comes with Start/Stop function and gets automatic braking feature.

Latest models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited, at new India prices, are available with immediate effect at all Jeep exclusive and FCA dealerships across the country. We believe the new package with visual and technological enhancements on offer will elevate the driving and ownership experience for Indian customers.”
