The luxury brand Jaguar is in full mood to increase its sale figures in this year 2014. This is the reason company has started to accept the booking of its flagship model XJ 2014 in India. As per the reports, one can book this highly luxuriant model with an advance payment of 5 lakhs; deliveries of XJ will be commenced from June this year, though.
In India, Jaguar has offered only the LWB (long wheelbase) edition of classy XJ. Company has displayed 2014 XJ in recently held Delhi Auto Expo where it was also announced that the car will be assembled locally now at the company’s Pune plant.
Price:
Company has not disclosed the price of this model yet but it is expected to come within price bracket of around 1.18-2.19 Crores. Though, it’s just tentative price which could be changed by the company.
Engine details:
The Jaguar XJ comes in two trims namely XJ Premium Luxury LWB and XJ Portfolio LWB having both petrol and diesel fuels in each. The petrol trim is of 2.0 liter i4 turbocharged petrol developing the max power of 236.7bhp and 340Nm of peak torque while on the other hand, the diesel unit is a 3.0 liter V6 turbocharged responsible to churn out the max power and torque of 271.2bhp and 600Nm respectively.
Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox and provide the car an impressive balanced handling on road. While the petrol trim offers the claimed mileage of up to 9.4km/l, diesel offers up to 12.9 km/l.
Further, it accelerates 0-100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds with the top speed of 241 km/h in petrol variant while in 6.4 seconds with the limited top speed of 250 km/h in diesel-one.
Space & Dimension:
The luxury XJ carries a long and down-to earth body with a breathtaking royal look. It is 5252mm in length, 2105mm in width and 1457mm in height along with the extremely wonderful wheelbase of 3157mm. The car boot of XJ is of 520 liters.
