South Korean automaker Hyundai launched the new 2018 ELITE i20 at the Auto Expo 2018. The Elite has been a global success with over 4 lakh customers since its launch in 2014. This car will come in both diesel and petrol variants. The company has also unveiled its Global EV, IONIQ while it plans to roll out its first EV in India by 2019.
Exterior and Interior
The Elite i20 comes with changes like a new black cascading grille and redesigned headlamp also with new LED daytime running lights. The car’s bumper also gets a new design with an integrated spoiler and arrow-head fog lamp housing. The new i20’s sculpted doors and new alloy wheels make it more muscular in looks from the sides but for the front section, the looks slightly differ with having a fresh tail lamp cluster.
The interiors are revised too for the 2018 Hyundai Elite i20. Now it gets a more premium look than its predecessor. It carries a larger 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports inbuilt navigation and connectivity options like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Engine Details
The Hyundai i20 for its engine gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission and 1.4-litre diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission.
Safety
The 2018 Elite i20 also comes with six airbags for safety.
Colors
It gets two new shades along with their dual-tone options that are Fiery Red and Passion Orange.
Price
The price tag of the petrol variant of the Elite i20 carries starts at 5.35 lakh INR that goes up to Rs 7.91 lakh for the top model. While the Diesel variant starts at 6.73 lakh INR and goes up to 9.16 lakh INR for the top trim.
The 2018 model of the Elite i20 is said to go up against the Baleno and the Polo.
