In a bid to cash in the upcoming festive season almost every car manufacture in the country is coming up with the limited editions. Lately, we witnessed the launch of limited editions of Skoda Rapid, Renault duster and now Honda has joined the bandwagon with the celebration limited edition of Amaze and Mobilio. In 2014 as well, Honda introduced the limited edition of Amaze to celebrate its first anniversary.
Changes on both the models would be strictly cosmetic while no mechanical changes are reported. As a part of limited edition the vehicles shall get celebration body graphics, designer seat covers, elegant cushions, floor mats and stylish steering wheel cover along with premium upholstery.
The celebration of the both the vehicles will be offered in white orchid pearl and taffeta white paint schemes only. The extra cost for these add-ons is around 13K for Amaze and 16K for Mobilio, also fitment charges will be applied over the price of the variant. So expect limited edition to be dearer around Rs. 30,000 over standard variants.
Since these are just limited editions, both the cars to come loaded with all the bells and whistles of top variant.
As said earlier, both the models are mechanically untouched; the popular selling Amaze sedan gets a 1.2l I-VTEC petrol engine and a 1.5l Oil burner developing 87bhp and 99bhp respectively. On the contrary, the slow seller MPV Mobilio is powered by a 1.5L Earth Dreams I-Dtec engine that generates 99bhp power and there is a 1.5l I-VTEC petrol engine from the city sedan which develops meaty 117bhp power and 145Nm of torque. A speed manual gearbox does the duty on both models while Amaze is also available with an automatic gearbox.
