As we all know Cars and two wheelers became costlier from 1st January 2015 due to the rollback of reduced excise duties by the government. With that effect automakers have now started raising price of their cars and following that spree Honda India announced the price hike of its entire range of cars by up to Rs. 60,000 due to high rising input costs.
In December 2014 most of the car makers have announced that they would be increasing the price of their cars from New Year that includes auto giants like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Honda, M&M, Nissan, Toyota etc. Honda is the first carmaker among all to hike it’s the price of entire line-up and one can expect others to follow soon.

Honda’s lone offering in MPV segment and latest sensation in the market Mobilio is yet to receive new price tag as Honda’s officials are considering the right price for Mobilio.
Excise duties for SUVs were reduced to 24 percent from 30 percent, 20 percent for midsized cars from 24% and for large cars it limited to 24 percent from 27 percent. For small cars and two wheelers excise duty was reduced to 8% from 12 percent.
Government wished happy New Year to all carmakers by rolling back the reduced excise duties which forced car manufactures to raise the price of their products in order to bear the high inputs costs and excise duties.
