Brio is the latest car launched by the automobile giant ‘Honda’ and it comes with 6 different versions namely the EMT, EXMT, SMT, VMT, VXMT & VXAT with each being different from the other in additional features only.
The new Honda Brio is a hatchback sedan class car with 3610mm in length, 1680mm in width and 1500mm in height with enough foot and head space. While the wide stance ensures stable driving, the ‘double triangle’ exterior design concept, makes it dynamic and sporty. It comes with i-VTEC petrol engine with 1.2l capacity, though the diesel engines are also available now. The fuel tank capacity is enormous 35 litres. It boasts of 87 bhp (brake horse power) @6000 RPM power. Well that’s not it, max Torque it provides is 109 Nm @4500 RPM and mileage upto 19.4 kmpl, which is huge.
The front crome grill is designed to capture anyone’s attention that holds the brand logo proudly. The exteriors have been paid special attention to, especially the bold halogen headlights which are absolutely unique & impeccable and the fog lamps it has. Maneuvering is quite effortless with the smooth power steering and the 5-speed automatic/manual FWD gearboxes and can go upto the max speed of 160 kmph. It has a small radius of 4.5m beneficial at turns and curves on congested roads. ABS with EBD feature ensures comfortable driving in hard braking situations. The tyres are tubeless and the brakes are disc at the front and drum at the rear. Alloy wheels are available in only 2 versions VXMT & VXAT. From the safety point of view it has regular features like central locking and child locking system; however it does not support anti- brake locking system except for the VXMT & VXAT car which has the highest price tags among all. Safety airbags facility for the driver and co-driver are present only in the higher versions of the car. Along with the regular safety system it has supports intelligent warning features like when the driver is without the seatbelt, or if the car is running short of fuel and lastly if the doors aren’t closed properly. Keeping in mind the exterior protection, there is a thick line of rubber that runs along the sides in the middle of the height of the car, same way there rear cargo, front corner and rear corner protector. It also comes with the crome door protector. One important feature which you shouldn’t miss is adjusting the headlight as per convenience of distance you want to view. Among the new features added are the Driver seat height adjuster and the rear glass defogger.
Coming to the interiors, it has a elegant wood finished interior panel onto which the console and the music player is studded. In entertainment section, Brio misses out the much needed GPS system these days and Bluetooth though EXMT, SMT, VXMT & VXAT versions have some popular entertainment features like the, MP3 player, Radio FM/AM, and are USB & Aux compatible.
Brio comes in 6 different colors energetic blue, crystal black pearl, urban titanium, alabaster silver, rally red and taffeta white and the price of the different versions range from Rs. 4.2 lacs to 6.2 lacs. The car is available on EMIs but with a high rate of interest 11.5%m over 60 months.
