It’s raining limited editions; to cash in the festive mood various auto giants have already launched number of limited/special editions. Now it’s time for American automajor Ford to join the list with EcoSport black signature edition. Priced at Rs. 9.26 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), signature edition is similar to the black edition that was launched earlier this year albeit with some added accessories. This new variant is aimed at keeping the SUV fresh as it is getting tuff fight from Hyundai Creta and Maruti Vitara Brezza.
The edition gets additional accessories worth Rs. 37,894 including painting and fitment charges. Changes include new front and rear bumper appliqués, LED daytime running lights below the fog lamps, side decals with EcoSport lettering on body panels to make it sportier and stylish. Besides, it also receives black treatment for front grille, headlamps, fog lights, 16 inch alloy wheels, electro chromatic ORVMs and roof rails.
Ford has also made some modifications inside the cabin like illuminated scuff plates, black vinyl seats with contrast red stitching for the plush look. Rest of the features is similar like Sync 2.0 infotainment with app link; push start button, automatic headlamps with signature light guide, six airbags, ABS with EBD to enhance the bar of safety.
The Signature edition will be available with 1.5l Ti-VCT petrol and a 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine. The petrol mill develops 112Ps of max output and 140Nm of peak while the oil burner is good for 100Ps and 205Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken car by a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual clutch powershift automatic gearbox.
