Ford India hikes Endeavour prices by up to Rs. 1.62 lakh

Just days after slashing down the prices of Figo duos, Ford India has silently announced the hike in prices for Endeavour SUV. Rivaling Toyota Fortuner, the Endeavour was launched earlier this year and has been consistently ticking 500-600 units a month, managing to outsell segment leader Fortuner. The North American has raised the prices of Endeavour by up to Rs. 1.62 lakh making it loose the price advantage it had on Fortuner.

Currently, Ford Endeavour is the best SUV in its segment has grabbed plenty of footfalls. Since next gen Fortuner is just around the corner, Ford is looking to eat as much market pie as possible.

The SUV is available with two diesel engine choices a 2.2 litre diesel delivering 157bhp@3200rpm and 385Nm of torque between1600-2500rpm, linked with both manual and automatic transmissions and a bigger 3.2 litre engine that puts the max output of 197bhp@3000rpm and massive 470Nm of torque@1750-2500rpm, and it is linked with a six speed automatic transmission only.

In terms of features, it is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with 2 USB ports, navigation, Aux-in, bluetooth, CD and a 10 speaker audio system with active noise cancellation feature.  It also gets dual zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, front center armrest with storage bin, cruise control, power folding last row seats, power steering wheel with tilt function, seven airbags, Ford’s famed terrain management system, traction control, and much more.
