India’s only supercar manufacturer, DC Design has silently rolled out the limited edition of made in India Avanti Supercar, christened as DC Avanti 310 limited edition. The edition is priced at Rs. 44 lakhs (ex-showroom) and will be limited to 31 units in India. To be made available from April 2016, this edition is Rs. 9 lakh costlier than the standard model.
Avanti 310 looks a meaner looking upgrade of standard car with more power up its sleeve. The edition comes with lots of changes and biggest them of all is the inclusion of optional AMT gearbox. Apart from AMT, the Avanti 310 features an array of embellishments outside like LED headlamps, forged alloy wheels, two bit front splitter, carbon fibre rear diffuser, sill extensions, contrast fibre rear wing, Stiffer anti roll bars, LED tail lamps and Ultra-soft compound sports tyre.
The suspension has been lowered by 20mm for a better deportment and the special edition will be offered with a choice of dual tone paint-jobs- White with blue, Grey with orange and Grey with green. Interior highlights include TFT instrument display for the sport gauges, leather treatment for steering wheel while seats get Alcantara leather.
Power comes from the same Renault Sourced 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, which has been tuned to produce 310bhp power up from 250bhp in the regular variant and it also bears a 6-speed (AMT) automated manual transmission with paddle-shifters as optional equipment. Another good point about the new edition is getting an airbag as option while current Avanti doesn’t have one.
