Datsun Redi-Go Sport launched in India at Rs. 3.49 lakh

Datsun India had launched Redi-Go in June this year that garnered decent response since then. According to Datsun, more than 10,000 units have already been retailed with 2945 units in June, 3940 units in July and 3205 cars last month. As festive season is around, Datsun has launched limited edition of entry level offering redi-go in India today at Rs. 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Sport limited edition is available on the range topping S trim only and cost Rs. 15,000 more than the standard S trim.

The car was unveiled by Indian Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik, who is not only the new brand ambassador for Datsun but also the first customer of Sport redi-go. The new variant is available in three color shades- Ruby, Grey and White.

Coming to the changes, it gets dual paint scheme with sporty honeycomb mesh grille housing red embellishments, racy decals across the bonnet and roof, meaner black air dam with LED daytime running lights fog lamps, piano black wheel cover and roof spoiler. Black treatment have also been given to low scuff plates of the bumpers.

To match the sporty exterior glimpse, interiors too have been given similar treatment in the form of black interiors and sporty dashboard with red accents, mobile docking system, keyless entry, 1 Din audio system with Aux-in, USB and bluetooth connectivity. In addition to the features of top spec T (O) trim it also get reverse parking sensors to make reverse parking easier.

Under the hood it is same story, the sport variant extracts power from the same 799cc 3-cylinder petrol engine developing 53bhp@5678rpm and 72Nm of torque@4386rpm, linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car delivers class leading ARAI rated mileage of 25.17 KMPL, shared with Renault Kwid.
