Hyundai Santro was the most loved car and the company is all set to launch its new model in the second half of this year. Codenamed as AH2 the car will a replacement for the i10 hatchback. The new Santro 2018 will be based on the same platform as that of old i10. The car will be placed in between Eon and Grand i10 and will compete with the Maruti Alto K10, Renault Kwid, and Tata Tiago. Exterior:
On the exterior, the all-new santro 2018 will be seen with cascading grille, a new pair of headlamps, new fog lamps, alloys, new bumper, new rear tail light and more.
Interior:
Hyundai Santro will get major updates in the interior, the car will sport a new dashboard layout, all new steering wheel, dual tone fabric upholstery, dual tone door panels and more. It could also offer a semi-digital display, driver-side airbag, touch-screen infotainment system on top-end trim levels and large storage spaces and big door pads. It will be 10 mm taller than the old i10 and is reportedly 10-15 mm wider too.
Engine:
The new Santro’ s engine will be based on the old i10 platform and will also use the original i10’s 1086cc engine with approximately 70 bhp of power and 100 Nm of torque. On offer will be Hyundai’s first ever AMT and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, optional factory fitted LPG or CNG versions of the car will be available.
Price:
The car is expected to launch in August 2018 with the speculated price tag of INR 3 lakh to INR 5.5 lakh
