The Indian car market is much busy now-a-days in welcoming the all new models launching by the different brands. While the upcoming Auto Expo 2014 will be the witness of many new launches, few models are already being unveiled. In this queue, Tata has arrived too by revealing its two all new cars on this 3rd February. These both cars by Tata Motors will launch later by the end of this year but ready to be showcased in this Expo Mart. As we have reported earlier, among these two new cars, one is Tata’s premium sedan Zest (Falcon 5) while other is dynamic hatchback Bolt (Falcon 4). Let’s see what the all new ZEST gets.
Price:
Well, every company always reveals price of its models only by the launch, so we’ll have to wait to get the exact range but still its expected price range varies from 4.5 lakhs to 7.6 lakhs.
Engine details:
The car is built on Tata Vista’s X1 platform. As per company, it is armed with both petrol and diesel fuels. The petrol unit contains Tata’s all new Revotron family’s engine which is 1.2 liter Turbocharged MPFI, develops the max power of 83.8bhp and peak torque of 140Nm.
On the contrary, the diesel unit is of 1.3 liter which is a Quadrajet engine and churns out the max power and peak torque of 88.8bhp and 200Nm respectively.
Space & Dimension:
This new classy sedan is 3995mm in length, 1695mm in width and 1570mm in height. It offers seating capacity for five passengers and carries the wheelbase of 2470mm while fuel tank capacity of 44 liters.
Interior & Exterior:
Tata Motors has introduced a new design language namely DesignNext which gives an expression to a wonderful combinations of sleek, smart styling and increased comfort. By designing this car with this all new concept, it also contains projector headlamps complemented by chrome accents, the daytime running lights, the rear treatment of LED lamps, the massive 15” alloy wheels, combined with a signature Buzz Blue color etc. Its interior is made up of premium quality material which makes this sedan comfortable.
Road handling:
An all new DriveNext concept has been introduced to build this car with ease. The Zest is adorned with ventilated Disc brakes in front wheels while drum brakes at rear. The available suspension of dual path independent McPherson strut with antiroll bar at front while an independent 3-link McPherson strut with Antiroll bar at rear provide this sedan a proper road handling and balanced ride.
